The Manila-born designer, Ezra, had always admired the couture dresses of the 40′s and 50′s, found in American black and white movies. Ezra studied Fine Arts at the Philippine Women’s University, after which he studied Fashion Design at Slims Fashion and Arts School. He embarked on further studies at the Central St. Martins, in London, where he took extensive graduate courses in cutting and draping, and learned to hone his craft while traveling extensively around the major capitals of the world.
At a young age, the designer found himself in Saudi Arabia, wherein he flourished by creating clothes for its wealthy, fashion-conscious women. And it wasn’t long before the discerning Arab women clientele took notice and embraced his style mantra. During the early 90′s Ezra was offered to join one of the leading fashion houses in Dubai.
Ezra has had multiple stunning shows in big cities like New York, Dubai and Manila, while also collaborating in some, with brands the likes of Swarovski. Armed with true grit, sheer talent and the conviction of making his own mark in the global fashion industry, he opened his own atelier in Dubai.
BRAND CONCEPT
For inspiration, Ezra looks up to the celebrated French designer Erte, Christian Lacroix, John Galliano as well as the original Monsieur Christian Dior. For over a decade, Dubai-based Ezra has been consistently making his mark, creating dreamy, extravagant couture, establishing his brand as synonymous to elegance and beauty. His designs are known for their buoyant, diaphanous and exquisite edge, with finely crafted embellishments.
